Common Application for First-Year Diversity Fellowship Programs

NALP's First-Year Diversity Recruiting Task Force has created a new Common Application for First-Year Diversity Fellowship Programs. Because students are applying for fellowships at the same time they are studying for exams, this is a critically stressful period for students. The Task Force is hopeful that the common application will decrease the workload on students applying for these fellowships, as well as increase the number of applications received by firms.

2024 Lawyer Perfectionism and Well-Being Survey

NALP announces a new research study on lawyer mental health and well-being, conducted by Krill Strategies, JC Coaching & Consulting, and Ambitionprofile, in collaboration with NALP. The study will generate valuable data on a range of risk factors related to mental health and well-being problems among lawyers, with a specific focus on the relationship between mental health, substance use, and the perfectionistic tendencies that are common within the legal profession. Any lawyers currently practicing at a private law firm are eligible to participate. We hope that your law firm or law school will be willing to participate and support this research by distributing the survey link to your lawyers and/or alumni. The survey will be open through October 4, 2024.
